HC-55516

Description

The HC55516 are NOS All Digital Continuously Variable Slope Delta-Modulator (CVSD), DIP-14 Package. Most of these are Ceramic Gold NOS chips which are super rare as they are probably worth more for the gold content alone.  The HI-55516 is a half duplex modulator/demodulator CMOS integrated circuit used to convert voice signals into serial NRZ digital data and to reconvert that data into voice. This speech chip is used on the following pinball and arcade games: Williams speech daughter board for Sinistar, Firepower, Blackout, Alien Poker, Black Knight, Jungle Lord, Pharoah, Space Shuttle, Sorcerer, Comet, Jokerz and many others.  The HC55516 can replace any of the following chips: HC3-55536-5, HC1-55516, HC1-55532, HC1-55564, HCI-55536, HCI-55564, HC1-55536, HC355536-5, HC155516, HC155532, HC155564, HCI55536, HCI55564, HC155536.
